About[Home] [About] [Hillard's Handouts] [Classes] [Dean] [International Students] [Links] [News] [Programs] [President] [Site map] [Staff]Our HistoryWith II Timothy 2:15 in mind members of Beverly Manor Missionary Baptist Church were convinced of the need of a training station for Christian workers. In the late winter of 1964, the church instructed her pastor Dr. Wayne Camp, to begin making preliminary plans for the school. With the aid of Dr. William Canard of Peoria, these plans were made; and in April 1965 Beverly Manor Missionary Baptist Church voted to establish the Illinois Missionary Baptist Institute and Seminary. The church agreed to furnish facilities for classrooms, and classes were held for the first time in September 1965. Our PurposeThe major purpose of the Illinois Baptist College is to train Christian workers to rightly divide the Word of Truth (II Timothy 2:15). To accomplish our purpose, we have a two-fold focus. We focus first of all on the needs of ministerial students. Those who have been called to preach God's Word need a sound Biblical education, and it is our goal to provide preachers with the opportunity for such training. We offer a two year Associate and four year Bachelor Degrees. Study in Bible languages is available to students desiring them. Our focus is not limited however, to only the ministerial student. We also encourage and welcome anyone who desires to learn more of God's Word. Those who serve local churches as teachers find this school to be a great benefit to their lives. Our LocationIllinois Baptist College is located at 209 Vohland St., Washington, IL in the Beverly Manor Addition one-half mile west of the intersection of U.S. 24 and Ill 8. Our Beliefs
